* The Colorado Avalanche are a really good hockey team that scores a lot of goals. Last year, they were the best team in the whole league!
* Even though they're scoring a lot this year too, they're letting in a few more goals. But don't worry, their star players like Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar are still playing great.
* The Avalanche are playing the Chicago Blackhawks, who haven't been winning much. The Avalanche are expected to play their fast and tough style of hockey to try and win this game.
