* The Colorado Rockies are trying to get better after many losing seasons by picking new players in a draft. They used their special picks to get talented players who are good at hitting and pitching.
* They picked Tyler Bell, who is a good all-around player and could be a great shortstop for the Rockies. They also picked Daniel Jackson, a catcher with a lot of power who won a big award for his hitting.
* The Rockies also drafted Logan Reddemann, a pitcher who throws very fast and has good control, and Jack Natili, another catcher with big power who is expected to hit well at Coors Field.
